LIVINGSTON CITY COUNCIL
FEBRUARY 26, 2009
A Special Meeting of the Livingston City Council was held on February 26, 2009, in the City Council Chambers with Mayor Varela presiding.
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Varela called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
The pledge of allegiance to the flag was recited.

Council Member Margarita Aguilar (Excused)
Council Member Martha Nateras (Excused)
Also present were City Manager Warne and Minute Recorder Rasmussen.
CITIZENS COMMENTS
Katherine Schell Rodriguez, PO Box 163, Livingston stated that after the rate study presentation on February 17, 2009, she had prepared a rate sheet on her blog regarding the proposed water, sewer and solid waste increases. Her intention is to show what a utility bill will look like with the rate increases.
DISCUSSION AND POTENTIAL ACTION ITEM
1. Planning Commission Interviews.
The City Council conducted interviews for possible candidates to fill three vacancies and one alternate position on the Livingston Planning Commission.
The candidates interviewed were Pamela Tamez, Leticia Soto, Harminder Basra, and Mohani Thiara.
A recess was taken at 6:21 p.m.
The meeting resumed at 6:25 p.m. with Manoj Bains being interviewed.
No action was taken by the Council.
ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned by consensus at 6:35 p.m.
