COURT THEATER COMMITTEE
SEPTEMBER 21, 2009
The monthly of the Court Theater Committee was called to order by Chairperson JoAnn Mires on Monday, September 21, 2009 at 5:03 p.m. in the Livingston City Council Chambers
Minutes – A motion was made by Kaye Greeley and seconded by Marge McFadden to approve the July 20, 2009 minutes. Motion passed.
Treasury Report - The treasury report was given. The balance in checking as of August 31, 2009 was $505.82.
Court Theater Project Update – Nothing new to report.
OLD BUSINESS:
Wine and Cheese Affair Update:
Ÿ Frogtooth’s Winery has responded to the invite and will be attending next year’s Wine & Cheese Event. No response yet from Irish, but it is crush season. Will email them again.
Ÿ No inventory of the leftover wine has been done.
Tea Party Fund Raiser Update:
Ÿ The “Mad Hatter” Tea Bag was passed around for loose coins.
Ÿ Those attended stated it was a success. Had 22 attendees.
Ÿ Members of the Livingston High School band during the event and everyone praised them.
Ÿ We made $626.56 after taking $45 out for thank you’s for the high school students.
Ÿ Tea Bag Fund — $47.06
Ÿ Raffle — $102
Ÿ Live Auction — $122.50
Ÿ Tickets — $390.00 with 22 attending
Ÿ Jan thanked Backdoor Catering for the food donation and the members who donated raffle and auction items.
Ÿ Thank you notes will be sent to the High School Band leader
Ÿ Next year’s date has been set for the third Saturday of September (9/18/10)
Bunco Fund Raiser
Ÿ Kaye checked with Richard Warren and there is no problem in holding a Bunco Event.
Ÿ Several attended the Hilmar Bunco and thought it was a good event. They used banquet tables divided in half, deli luncheon, vendors (i.e. Tupperware, etc). raffle prizes.
Ÿ Kaye would like to have 15-20 tables at $20 charge for each participant, providing lunch and desserts.
Ÿ Would like to use card tables instead of banquet tables. If you have any card tables available, contact Kaye.
Ÿ After discussion of the previous date, Marge McFadden moved to change the date to February 6, 2010. Kaye Greeley seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Ÿ Jan will check on the availability of the Veterans’ Hall for February 6, 2010 and report next month.
Ÿ Times for the Event will be:
Ÿ Doors open at 1:00 pm
Ÿ Bunco play will start at 2:00 pm
Ÿ Raffle between 4-5 (after Bunco is completed)
Ÿ Clean-up, starting at 5pm
Ÿ Would like to have Key Club for Rovers as well as set-up and clean-up. Kaye will contact the Key Club.
NEW BUSINESS:
No new business.
JoAnn welcomed Luis Flores for attending the meeting and invited him back.
Meeting was adjourned at 5:35p.m.. The next meeting will be held on Monday, October 19, 2009, at 5:00 pm.
