Staff seeks discussion and direction from Council regarding changes to the DTC zone.
Following direction from Council, Staff has brought forth this city-sponsored action for discussion and direction. It has been suggested that the Downtown Commercial District (DTC) be amended to include fewer parcels.
Staff is seeking direction from Council as to research needed to propose appropriate parcels to be rezoned, taking into consideration existing uses as well as compatibility with surrounding zones.
Following direction from Council, and should Council decide to approve this action, Staff will research alternatives and bring this item back to Council with a recommendation. At that time Staff will initiate the actions needed to accomplish this. As with all General Plan Amendments and Rezones, this action will require an Initial Study as well as Public Hearings required by Planning Commission and City Council.
