RECOMMENDATION:

City Council to provide staff direction for appointments to the Planning Commission.

BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION:

Planning Commissioner Frank Castellanos’ term on the Planning Commission ends December 31, 2013. City Council has the option to reappoint Commissioner Castellanos to the Commission or advertise through the City Manager’s office to attract applicants. If Council chooses to advertise, the recommendation is to advertise for 45 days.

Mr. Castellanos has indicated interest in continuing to serve on the Planning Commission.

FISCAL IMPACT:

None.

And it has being a pleasure to be serving my community as a planner commissioner.
