RECOMMENDATION:

That Council waive the second reading and adopt Ordinance No. 611, an Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Livingston Amending Title 7, Chapter 4 of the Livingston Municipal Code Relating to Fireworks.

BACKGROUND:

The City Council originally discussed amending the Fireworks Ordinance in 2012. Over the last few years the Council has periodically revisited the issue. At the Regular City Council meeting of January 21, 2014, staff was provided direction to bring back the existing Fireworks Ordinance with certain amendments for the City Council’s consideration. The City Council approved the changes at the February 18, 2014, meeting.

DISCUSSION:

Staff has amended the Fireworks Ordinance as approved by the City Council as follows:
