RECOMMENDATION:

Reappoint Marge McFadden to a two or four year term on the Merced County Mosquito Abatement District Board of Trustees.

BACKGROUND:

The term of office of Marge McFadden as the City’s representative on the Merced County Mosquito Abatement District Board of Trustees expires on December 31, 2014.

Mrs. McFadden has ably represented the City of Livingston for the past 13 years and has expressed her willingness to serve another term.

DISCUSSION:

In accordance with the California Health and Safety Code, Division 3, Pest Abatement, Chapter 1 and Mosquito and Vector Control Districts, Article 3, Board of Trustees and Officers, "the term of office for a member of the board of trustees shall be for a term of two or four years at the discretion of the appointing authority."

FISCAL IMPACT:

None.
