The monthly of the Court Theater Committee was called to order by Chairperson JoAnn Mires on Monday, August 17, 2009 at 5:05 p.m. in the Livingston City Council Chambers

Minutes – A motion was made by Marge McFadden and seconded by Kaye Greeley to approve the July 20, 2009 minutes.  Motion passed.

Treasury Report – The treasury report was given.  The balance in checking as of July 31, 2009 was $705.82.   Discussion followed regarding investing in a CD to have more interested.  The percentages for the Cds are low.  Discussion was tabled until WestAmerica has completed its transfer from County Bank.  They should have some special programs implemented at that time.

Court Theater Project Update – Nothing new to report.


Wine and Cheese Affair Update:

Ÿ        Irish and Frogtooth’s wineries have been asked to return next year.  No response yet.  If they are unable to attend, would like two other local wineries to be invited.

Ÿ        No inventory of the leftover wine has been done.

Tea Party Fund Raiser Update:

Ÿ        The “Mad Hatter” Tea Bag was passed around for loose coins.

Ÿ        Tickets were handed out.  Price for adults are $15.  Children under 12 will be $10.

Ÿ        Jan and JoAnn will need the counts of tickets sold by September 14 in order to have time to get the food.

Ÿ        Menu was discussed and members will bring desserts. If each member brings 36 cookies, we will have plenty.

Ÿ        JoAnn will contact the new High School Music teacher about providing entertainment during the tea.  If they are not available, JoAnn will follow up with the girls that played last year.

Ÿ        Items are needed for the raffle and live auction.  Contact Jan or JoAnn to arrange pickup.

Bunco Fund Raiser

Ÿ        Hilmar will be having a bunco event on September 13.  They made over $5,000 last time.

Ÿ        Had pre-sold admission tickets

Ÿ        12 door prizes, raffles, money prizes for the most buncos, most wins and most losts.

Ÿ        Kaye Greeley will check with Richard Warren regarding any restrictions the city may have

Ÿ        Location of the event will be decided after restrictions are discovered.


Meeting was adjourned at 5:45p.m..  The next meeting will be held on Monday, September 21, 2009, at 5:00 pm.
