RECOMMENDATION:
Fire Department staff recommends that the City Council approve the expenditure of funds for the purchase of either a memorial plaque or stone in honor of the late John Vance. The memorial will be erected and/or displayed on City property which houses the Fire Department.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
John Vance was an active member of the community for many years and was involved in many City activities, including 40 plus years of service to the Livingston Fire Department. Mr. Vance held various positions within the Department, including Fire Chief and was respected and admired by the community.
FISCAL IMP ACT:
Contingent upon approval and cost of memorial plaque or stone.
