COURT THEATER COMMITTEE

July 20 2009

The monthly of the Court Theater Committee was called to order by Chairperson JoAnn Mires on Monday, July 20, 2009 at 5:05 p.m. in the Livingston City Council Chambers

Minutes – A motion was made by Barbara Elkin and seconded by Marge McFadden to approve the June 15, 2009 minutes.  Motion passed.

Treasury Report – No treasury report was given.

Court Theater Project Update – Nothing new to report.

OLD BUSINESS:

Wine and Cheese Affair Update:

Ÿ        Would like to have the winery reps back next year.  Jan will contact Irish and Frogtooth to invite them.  If they are unable to attend, would like two other local wineries to be invited.

Ÿ        Gallo will attend

Ÿ        The leftover wine from last wine will be used.  JoAnn will verify with Brian on inventory.

Tea Party Fund Raiser Update:

Ÿ        Reminder of the date was given – September 19 at JoAnn Mires house.

Ÿ        The “Mad Hatter” Tea Bag was passed around for loose coins.

Ÿ        Tickets will be available at next meeting.

Ÿ        Menu was discussed and it was suggested that we have about 3 dessert.  Last year had quite of few.

Ÿ        It was requested to bring raffle/auction items to the next meeting.

Ÿ        JoAnn will contact the new High School Music teacher about providing entertainment during the tea.

Bunco Fund Raiser

Ÿ        Chairperson Kaye Greeley requested that the date be changed to February since October was closed to the Tea.

Ÿ        Kaye Greeley moved and Barbara Elkin seconded that the date be changed to February 27, 2010.  Motion passed.

Texas Hold-em Fund Raiser

Ÿ        The project was tabled since Mayor Varela wasn’t present to give report

NEW BUSINESS:

Ÿ        JoAnn suggested that we give a gift certificate to Howard Gentry and Clint McFadden for the support and music they have provided at the Wine and Cheese Event.  Kaye Greeley moved and Jan Purganan seconded that a $75 gift certificate be given.  Motion passed.   

 

Ÿ        Meeting was adjourned at 5:28p.m..  The next meeting will be held on Monday, August 17, at 5:00 pm.
